Within a few miles of Arundel, the ground changes from chalk downland to river valley to coast. Knowing which one your garden sits on is a large part of getting a design right first time.
Much of Arundel’s old town is a conservation area, with flint walls, steep streets and period homes. We design gardens that sit comfortably with the house and its setting rather than fighting them.
Gardens on the Downs are thin and chalky; down in the Arun valley the ground is heavier and can stay wet. The planting is chosen for the soil you actually have.
